First post of the year

Pin It The biggest news here is that Saturday night is my last night in the ER and next week I'll be taking a couple of exams before I start my new job. I signed papers yesterday morning committing two years to Wellstar in exchange for being put through their residency and fellowship programs. I'll have around 10 or so classes to attend on certain days that I'll have to work around in my schedule. When I start orientation I'll be on a day schedule, but I'll go back to nights, so I'll still be on an odd schedule for awhile.

Last weekend we went to the art museum for the Fulton county free day. They have an exhibition going on with Da Vinci's sketches and notes. It wasn't as great as I was hoping, but it was still fun. I had wanted to go to a library that wasn't downtown, but we got a late start since I had worked the night before.

Sunday we went to church and then it was time to undeck the halls. We managed to get the tree outside and the dirty water disposed of. This is all a good bit more difficult when you don't have a yard. Since we still hadn't gone out for my birthday, I picked Red Lobster to be able to share with Brice the joy of cheddar bay biscuits. It was a great dinner.

Brice will be going back to school next week so he's been doing some work today. It'll be a different semester for him since he'll have a couple days of 8:00 classes with the new class he'll be TAing for. I'm not sure what I'll do without him around to help me get ready for work. He's been great about heating my dinner and making my lunch every day.

We'll be out for Brice's b-day tomorrow night, probably to Chili's for their current deal. He will be alone on the actual night, but that just means he's free to receive calls from his many fans :-)
