Quick Takes-vol.18

--- 1 ---
We got back from our trip to Chicago late Monday night.  We were there for the 4th, but had time before we left to take in a reading of the Declaration of Independence at the town green where it was appropriately read by a man in period costume with all the necessary theatrics.  I'll blog specifically about the trip later, but here's a preview:
Yep, that's Chicago pizza we're enjoying there at Caitlin's recommendation, Giordano's.

We celebrated our 4th anniversary yesterday with very little fanfare.  I ended up having to sit in front of the computer for my last school thing for 2.5 hours last night so not only did we not have a fancy dinner, my husband ate leftovers alone...But we do plan to go out to the Melting Pot Monday courtesy of Groupon.
--- 3 ---
Did you notice I said my LAST school thing?  I officially turned in my last assignment just 30 minutes ago.  That means I get to start throwing those 3 little letters B-S-N behind my name!  Yippee!
--- 4 ---
I've been a little caught up with all the move stuff and our trip recently and been slacking on meals.  You may remember in my last Quick Takes two weeks ago that I said I had started the eMeals slow-cooker plan.  Well, I made something this week so be sure to check out that post where I included the recipe.
--- 5 ---
And speaking of eMeals, I will be sharing an upcoming deal very soon that will give you a discount code for eMeals and lots of great recipes and ideas for back to school!
--- 6 ---
I had three job interviews this week and while they all went well, it looks like I didn't get the one I really wanted the most.  I know that God will have me end up where I'm supposed to be, but I was pretty sure he wanted me there :-)  Dontcha just love that attitude we can all get?  Anyway, today's was promising as well so if you'd like to pray for my job search that'd be much appreciated!

Aaand I'm out.  So here's a funny picture:

  5. I have found it is so much easier going into a job interview with the prayer that if this is where the Lord wants you to be then he will help you get the job. Good luck!
