***I'm also trying to work my way through reviews of places we have visited on Trip Advisor.  You can find me there by clicking this link for my profile, KelleyAnnie, and a map of where we've been.

Since I know how helpful it is to get travel advice from others, after one of our first trips in Europe I decided to keep some travel advice in an accessible place for family, friends, and other bloggers.  You'll find some tips and info below about where we stayed and where we ate.  I've also linked to the blog entry about that particular trip so you can read a bit more and get ideas for your own itinerary.  Keep in mind--we don't stay in ritzy places.  We prefer to re-allocate that money to take another trip.  We do, however, enjoy a good meal and having a good time on our trip.  Don't hesitate to contact us for more specific advice or information!

I've listed places in the order of what (I think) would be most popular.

We lived here from March to November in 2012.  It would be a nice place for a day trip or a relaxing weekend, but you could hit the highlights in a day.  We did have one of the oldest gothic churches in Germany (1200s) and a castle.  Try the Welcome Hotel for accommodations and Altes Brauhaus, Local Central, and Colosseo for dining.

We lived in northern Delaware (about 45 min) from Philly for 8 months.  While we never stayed overnight or took the traditional trip there, we took a few day and evening trips and we both went as kids with our families.  If you're planning a trip, contact me for more info.
